The IEA (Interscholastic Equestrian Association) has teamed up with Lettie Teague, author of the forthcoming biography of beloved children’s book author Marguerite Henry DEAR READERS AND RIDERS: A BIOGRAPHY (coming from TSB in May 2024!), to offer an exciting essay contest that pays tribute to the legacy of the remarkable woman who brought us 59 books, including the bestselling Misty of Chincoteague, Justin Morgan Had a Horse, and King of the Wind.
You must be an IEA registered member for the current season in grades 4-12 and submit your essay no later than 11:59 pm EST Friday, February 2, 2024, so hurry up and start writing! (Fast fact: Did you know Marguerite Henry owned a Morgan Horse named Friday?)
